Overview
Premium audiophile 4.4 mm Pentaconn plug with rhodium-over-silver contact plating in place of the standard gold-over-nickel. Rhodium has higher hardness and surface stability than gold; the silver intermediate layer provides marginally better high-frequency conductivity through the contact interface than nickel.
Slightly higher contact-mating force than the JEITA-standard NBP1-14-B variants. Used primarily by aftermarket cable houses for flagship reference cables.
Pairs with the monocrystal silver IEM cable as the source-side termination. Connector reference: 4.4 mm balanced.
