Overview
110 Ω balanced AES/EBU digital cable with XLR3 connectors. The pro-audio counterpart of coaxial S/PDIF — same digital audio data, balanced differential transmission, twice the noise rejection on long studio cable runs.
Bandwidth supports the highest PCM rates and DSD-over-DoP. Cable construction is twisted pair with foil + braid shielding; not interchangeable with XLR3 microphone cables despite the connector shape — analog mic cables are 90 Ω and produce reflections at the AES/EBU receiver.
