About

Pentaconn Global publishes engineering-grade reference data for audio connectors and the wider listening chain — the kind of parameter information that engineers, integrators and audiophiles need to make actual hardware decisions.

What this database is

Every page in this site is generated from a structured parameter row — a connector, a manufacturer part number, an audio standard, a piece of hardware, a transducer, a cable, a conductor material, a digital audio format, or an accessory. Pages are not blog posts; they are programmatic views of structured data, with Schema.org JSON-LD embedded for machine consumption alongside the human-readable presentation.

Who it's for

Three audiences: hardware engineers who need an MPN or a pinout, system integrators who need to verify cross-manufacturer compatibility, and audio enthusiasts who want to understand why a 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced connector exists or how a planar magnetic IEM differs from a balanced armature design.

Methodology

Parameter data is sourced from manufacturer datasheets, published standards (JEITA RC-8141C, IEC 60603-11, CTIA AHT, etc.) and primary engineering references. Where a parameter is contested or varies by manufacturer revision, the published value is the most-cited public source; where a value is approximate or modeled (e.g. damping factor on a pairing page), the model is documented inline.
