Overview
Direct 2.5 mm TRRS balanced female to 4-pin XLR balanced male adapter. Same 1:1 polarity mapping as the 4.4 mm → XLR4 version: L+/L−/R+/R− route to XLR pins 1/2/3/4 respectively.
Lets a 2.5 mm-terminated IEM or headphone cable plug into a desktop balanced amp without first stepping through a 2.5 → 4.4 → XLR cascade. Slightly less robust mechanically than the 4.4 mm version due to the smaller 2.5 mm receptacle.
For sources that still output 2.5 mm balanced. Compare with 4.4 mm → XLR4 adapter and the 2.5 mm → 4.4 mm adapter.
