Overview
DeoxIT-style contact cleaner: a low-residue solvent + enhancer formulated for gold-plated and silver-plated connector contacts. Removes oxidation, fingerprint salts and atmospheric film from headphone jacks, RCA / XLR connectors and turntable cartridge pins.
Apply with a fine-bristle brush or a foam swab, never with a cotton swab (cotton fibers shed inside the connector). Two-step process — clean with the solvent, then apply the enhancer — extends usable contact life by years.
Restore the contact integrity on aged 4.4 mm Pentaconn, MMCX and XLR sockets. Don’t use on tube sockets; those need a tube-pin specific cleaner.
