Overview
Clip-on ferrite RF choke that snaps around any cable up to 9 mm OD. The Mn-Zn ferrite core attenuates common-mode RFI between roughly 25 MHz and 300 MHz — exactly the band where switching-mode supplies, USB hosts and WiFi pollute headphone cables.
Doesn’t do anything audible on a quiet system; can fix audible buzz on a noisy one. Inexpensive enough to throw at any cable that might be a noise carrier.
Pair with USB ground-loop isolators on noisy desktop USB chains.
