Overview
Modular cable termination kit: one cable end with a multi-pin proprietary connector, plus four interchangeable source plugs (3.5 mm SE, 2.5 mm balanced, 4.4 mm balanced, 4-pin XLR balanced). Lets a single upgrade cable serve four different source terminations through a single attach-detach action.
Two practical advantages: one cable serves a desktop balanced amp and a portable DAP simultaneously, and the user can experiment with single-ended vs balanced on the same cable to evaluate the upgrade properly.
Most modular kits use a proprietary 4-pin (or 5-pin for full balanced + shield) coupler — verify compatibility with your cable manufacturer before buying. Pairs with most IEM upgrade cables.
