Overview
Pure silver drawn as a single-crystal conductor — the audiophile-cable apex material. Bulk conductivity is approximately 108% IACS, higher than any copper, and the absence of grain boundaries produces audibly extended top-octave detail and transient speed.
Sonic signature on most systems: faster transients, more apparent treble air, slightly less low-end weight than copper of equivalent gauge. Best suited to systems where the source and amplification are already top-tier and the remaining bottleneck is the cable.
The conductor for the monocrystal silver IEM cable. Cost premium over OFC copper is approximately 15×.
Typical uses
- flagship IEM upgrade cables
- boutique interconnects
