Overview
Neutrik audiophile 3.5 mm TRS cable plug — the gold-plated, machined-brass-body counterpart of the no-name SMT-35-A. 24K gold plating over a nickel intermediate layer; PEEK insulator body.
The default upgrade-cable termination for any cable that needs to terminate in 3.5 mm TRS. Mechanical insertion-extraction lifecycle is 5,000+ cycles; contact resistance change across that lifespan is under 5 mΩ.
Used on aftermarket 3.5 mm-terminated IEM cables and shorter audiophile interconnects. Compare with the MMCX aftermarket plug on the IEM side.
