Overview
Output-transformerless tube headphone amplifier optimized for 300 Ω+ dynamic headphones. Two 6N6P output tubes per channel in parallel single-ended configuration; 6N1P driver tube. 120 mW into 32 Ω and 1,200 mW into 300 Ω — the inverse of solid-state delivery curves.
Output impedance is 65 Ω — too high for low-impedance planars (damping factor below 1 produces audible bass bloom) but ideal for high-impedance dynamics where the source-impedance interaction with the driver creates the warm, lush midrange that tube enthusiasts seek.
The canonical pairing is the classic 300 Ω dynamic. See our headphone-amp matching guide for impedance / damping factor rationale.
