Overview

5-inch active near-field studio monitor, bi-amped: separate Class AB amplifiers drive the 125 mm woven-cone woofer and the 25 mm soft-dome tweeter through an active 4th-order linkwitz-riley crossover at 2.4 kHz. Balanced XLR and 6.35 mm TRS combo input plus an unbalanced RCA.

Frequency response is 45 Hz – 22 kHz (-3 dB), 38 Hz (-6 dB) — typical for the 5-inch class. The bi-amplification gives each driver its own amplifier optimized for its frequency band, which is why active monitors usually outperform comparably-priced passives.

Pairs with the desktop reference DAC via XLR or the studio monitor controller for level-matched A/B comparison. Decoupling via speaker isolation pucks is highly recommended on a desktop.
