Overview
Double-flange silicone ear tips with stacked sealing rings for deeper canal insertion and noticeably higher passive isolation than single-flange — typically 22–25 dB of broadband attenuation versus 15–18 dB for a standard tip.
The deeper fit improves the bass-coupling between IEM and eardrum, but the increased insertion depth is a comfort compromise that not every ear canal accepts. Best for noisy environments (commuter, aircraft) where isolation matters more than long-session comfort.
