Overview
Perforated lambskin leather pads with laser-drilled venting on the inner contact surface. The perforation lets the trapped cup-air interact with the outside world, splitting the difference between sealed leather (warm, isolating) and open velour (airy, breathable).
Tonally these are the most balanced compromise pad on the market — about half the bass boost of solid leather, and slightly more highs than velour. The hot-summer comfort of velour with the polished aesthetic of leather.
Particularly well-suited to mid-resistance dynamic headphones where neither pure-leather nor pure-velour gets the tuning right. A direct upgrade for the classic 300Ω dynamic in mixed-use applications. See also full-grain sheepskin.
